Ted Geary, Principal
As Shattuck Properties Principal broker, Ted brings more than two decades of experience in real estate and technology, an essential skill set given how important infrastructure and technology are in the space companies chose to occupy in today's environment.
A resident of the seacoast for almost 25 years, Ted has a strong understanding of the area’s commercial and residential real estate climate. His experience includes representing both landlords and tenants in commercial RE transactions with a total of approximately 2M square feet valued at $188M. Ted’s largest transactions include representation of a global company in a complex Build-To-Suit project for their new 432,000 Square Foot North American Headquarter’s valued at approximately $130M, the disposition of a high-tech manufacturing facility for $12.4M, and a successful tenant representation for global technology company with a total lease value north of $5M.
Ted is married to Karen (McGrath), a veteran Boston area advertising executive. The Geary’s have two children, Kathleen (Kit) (23) and Aidan (21).
Outside of spending quality time with his family in Newburyport and York, ME, Ted is a fitness enthusiast who's competed in many long distance triathlons. He has two rescue dogs (Daisy and Scout), who provide great entertainment value and drama to the Geary Clan! Random Fact- Ted spent almost (6) months in Australia in his early 20s for no apparent reason.
